‘Women Talks’ – How to Wear Pink

So I confess! Pink is my favorite color! Yes, yes and yes! I am a certified pink color lover. But wait! does that mean everything I have to wear should go ALL pink? No, no! of course not! Pink looks great on almost everyone, but head-to-toe cotton candy hues can overwhelm even the girliest girl.
Please take this advise if you want to look good in your favorite color.
Do’s
* Do pair pink with a neutral shade that grounds it without overwhelming it: white, cream, chocolate, khaki and denim.
* Do wear mid-range pinks like cotton candy with white.
* Do mix soft blush pinks with cream or khaki.
* Do go bold with combos like hot pink and grass green for preppy freshness.

Fashion and Umbrella

It’s the rainy days again! If we’ll do a checklist what’s inside our bag..1 item is going to be a sure find. Not your lipstick, not your phone, not even your wallet. It’s your Umbrella! The purpose of an umbrella is simple: to keep you dry when it’s raining. There was a time when umbrellas were as much a fashion accessory as a handbag is today, but over the years, that status has faded. The advent of the cheap tote umbrella eclipsed the stylish umbrella. In recent years, however, the fashionable umbrella has made a resurgence, and now you can and should coordinate your umbrella with your outfit to make a chic fashion statement.
Here are some basic tips so to stay still fashionable even in the middle of a pouring rain.
1. Move beyond basic black. While a black umbrella may match a lot of outfits, it’s not really a fashion statement if everyone has the same umbrella. If you want to sport a black umbrella, look for one with a subtle pattern or design to make it more original.
2. Accent your outfit with your umbrella. Rather than matching a gray suit with a gray umbrella, match the umbrella to an accent color in your outfit like the color of your blouse or scarf. This will make your umbrella stand out instead of blend in.

Michelle Obama wears Carole Tanenbaum
Mrs Obama, 45, has already been named a fashion icon by magazine editors, fashion designers and a flurry of bloggers. Her fashion sense first took centre stage when she was photographed by Vogue magazine in autumn 2007. Now that she has become the First Lady of the United States, probably all fashionistas eyes are going to be in everything that she’ll wear.
At the Inauguration day of President Obama, the first lady unveiled her inauguration outfit – a sparkling golden dress and matching coat designed by Cuban-American designer Isabel Toledo. Notice that silver pin at Mrs. O’s neckline during the inauguration ceremony. Some thought it was a necklace; others called it a collar on the Isabel Toledo dress.

Well it turned out to be a necklace. The piece is a Victorian paste brooch, once meant as a sash decoration. It came from Carole Tanenbaum Vintage Collection, who offers a premiere collection of vintage costume jewelry. We love that Mrs. O would wear a historical piece on such a historical day! She is simply a sophisticated and vibrant woman.
Dress up 10 Lbs Slimmer
Not all women are blessed with flattering curves like Beyonce, Carmen Electra, Jennifer Lopez, etc. But wait! should you be intimidated by your extra weight and not dress up to look fabulous? Oh no! don’t cover up your figure with tent dresses! Here are few rules and tips to accent your best features. Promise it’s not hard to do at all, you just need the right judgment and do not force yourself to follow the trends just for the sake of being IN! Remember, you choose your own style and your own trend!
Here’s How:
1. Choose darker colors as the basis of your wardrobe: navy, black, charcoal gray.
2. Use undergarment foundations: from all-in-one shapers to control top pantyhose.
3. Focus on playing up your best features, for example showing off shapely legs with a knee-length skirt.
4. Choose fabrics that don’t cling, avoiding stiff or bulky textures.
5. Use accessories to draw attention to your face: scarves, earrings, etc.
6. Avoid anything too tight or clingy.
7. Make sure you scale your accessories — from your handbag to your earrings — to your size.
8. Add small shoulder pads to sweaters and other knit tops to make them hang better.
9. Choose clean-lined clothing without big embellishment or buttons.
Tips:
>> Prints should be scaled for your body — no ditzy prints if you are large. In general, it’s the space between prints that makes them unflattering, so look for prints that have overlapping images.
>> Don’t shy away from sleeveless garments, especially eveningwear that you can cover up with a shawl, sheer top or bolero jacket.
>> Don’t think that baggy clothes make you look slimmer. Body-conscious clothes that hint at your curves, without being clingy or tight, are the most flattering.
