Can’t Sleep?
Lack of sleep can have disastrous results. It can lead to memory loss, chronic tiredness, a weaker immune system and susceptibility to sickness and depression. It is estimated that over the past century, our sleep cycle has been reduced by more than two hours. Sleeping hours are sacrificed in favor of some activities during daytime that we think we should not skip doing.
Choosing your Underwear
On Bras – look for the perfect fit
About 75 percent of all women wear bras that don’t fit. Check out this features carefully to be a part of the minority.
- HOOKS - a single hook looks very neat, but it is not practical for fuller busts. A fastening with two or three hooks is much more comfortable and supportive for everyday wear.
- STRAPS – all straps should have adjustable levels fir the hooks to accommodate fluctuation of weight or washing changes. A stretch bra with Lycra will get bigger over time and a firm cotton woven bra will shrink.
- SIZE - women often wear bras that are too big in size and too small on the cup, making the elastic ride up the back instead of staying straight at a horizontal angle from the front. Unless a bra fits just right, it could ruin the shape of your bust. Never buy a bra without trying it on.
- STYLE - have a wardrobe of lingerie — casual looks call for simple, comfy styles; sexier looks for lace, maybe even a thigh-high and garter belt. Have fun with it! Remember to switch to smooth-seamed cups for knit shirts and wear the appropriate color: wear a nude colored bra with light tops; black with dark. Make sure your straps don’t show. Switch to strapless if they do.
On Panties — Choose Wisely, not cheaply
Here are tips to remember when you go shopping for panties.
- Go Nude. Panties in a color that nearly matches your skin tone are the best choice to wear under white and light-colored pants. White underwear under white pants is too obvious.
- Black on black. Never wear light underwear under black. You may not notice it as you dress at home, but as sunlight or a camera flash hits you, the white will shine through like an unwelcome beacon.
- Consider your clothes. Clingy cuts and fabrics call for either a thong or a full-cut panty. Bikinis might be your best bet for jeans and thick cotton pants. For low jeans, go for low cut underwear too.
- Don’t rule out thongs. It’s just a necessity in some cases. With so many styles to choose from, you’re likely to find one that’s comfortable enough. If you’re just not a fan of thongs, try full-cut panties. In the right size, they offer the best panty line free alternative
Do’s and Dont’s in wearing your underwears
DON’Ts
- wear lght colored T-shirts with dark lace bras
- show beige bra straps under spaghetti-strap tops
- wear plastic strap bras with halter tops — not a pretty sight!
- wear “manang” panties with tight or stretched pants
- wear dark thing under white slacks
- expose your panties above your jeans or pants
DO’s
- use a matching halter bra and pull it down with a low back adaptor
- choose colorful straps that compliment your top
- wear a won’t be-seen nude T-shirt bra.
- for smaller breasts, DO get help from a push-up T-shirt bra
- on the lighter option: DO go for invisibles
- try think thong for a line free look
- if you can’t bear thongs, DO try hipster or U-back panties.
GOOD ADVICE
* Women report feeling more put-together when their panty and bra match. It can build up confidence as you go through your day — always a good thing.
* Most delicates can be washed safely in a machine, but a dryer’s heat can break down panties’ elastic and make them lose their shape. Air-dry unless in an emergency.
10 Things you ought to know about make up
- If you are trying a foundation on your skin to check the color, apply a small amount on your jaw — the area where you want it to “disappear” and blend seamlessly onto your neck. Testing foundation on the back of your hands like many of us usually do makes no sense, because we are not going to use it anywhere except our faces.
- Eye makeup (eye shadow, mascara, eyeliner, etc.) should be discarded after 3 months. In that span of time, it can gather enough bacteria to infect your peepers.
- “Two-way” foundations as we call it means it can be applied to the face using either wet or dry sponge.
- Concealers now come in different colors to hide specific flaws. White is for the dark circles under the eyes, blue is for fresh blemishes and broken capillaries, and yellow is for dark spots on the skin.
- Thank heavens manufacturers discovered cream and pigment! otherwise our lipstick would have been like the olden days which were made of fish scales! Aren’t you glad you live in modern times?
- Mousse is the sheerest form of makeup. Liquid gels deliver a bot more color.
- Lipliner does not make the lips look bigger, but they do make your lips appear fuller and pouty.
- Makeup in powder form will look cakey and will emphasize lines on an elderly woman’s face.
- Light eyeshadow on tired (puyat), puffy eyes will only make matters worse.
- Putting your lipstick in the fridge won’t make it last longer. Even if it does, you should discard it after a year.
